Water spinach is rich in fiber and aids in digestion. Being rich in iron, it's beneficial for people with anemia as well as for those who require iron in their diets. The leaves are a good source of minerals, vitamins and is considered a possible source of food protein as it also possesses.

The leafy vegetable along with young stems are cooked with onion, garlic, potato and tomato, in my way, as my family enjoy this preparation.

This saag is not good for long term use...One must wash it very thoroughly and eat it not more than 2 times a month..it's stem is harmful..it creates gas/bloating ....anyway the recipe is nice..
