Below is the type of dried seaweed we used. Gather & prep all ingredients (pic below).
Take one thin piece of the seaweed out from its packet. Heat a wok or wide pan over low heat. Place the seaweed on hot wok or pan. Roast for 1 or 2 minutes on each side. See Pic below.

We used only half of the seaweed (pic below). Next, heat a tablespoon of oil. Add dried shrimps. Stir for few seconds.

Stir in the chicken. Cook until it turns opaque. Add chicken stock or broth. Over medium high heat, bring it to a boil.
📝 If you do not have chicken stock or broth, use water and add chicken cube or chicken seasoning powder or chicken bouillon.
📝 You can substitute chicken stock or chicken seasoning with anchovies cube or meat broth/cube/seasoning.

Next, add sesame oil, salt or chicken seasoning powder and white pepper powder.

Add toasted seaweed. Mix well. Bring to a boil again.

Add the eggs in steady stream while another hand stirring. Simmer for 3-4 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings accordingly. Serve in small individual bowls. Garnish with chopped green onions.

Note:
This soup uses dried seaweed that is sold in large round dried sheets. See attached pic below for reference.
