Masaledaar Pahadiwale Aloo ke Gutke

Generally Pahadiwale Aloo specifically found in winter season. This recipe belongs to Uttarakhand state of India. I Always keep my eyes on no onion no garlic recipes, this recipe is one of kind. In this recipe, hing or asafoetida should be used to give that pungent flavour. #Newpotatoes # #globalcookpadgames2024😊🌻

Steps
- 1
Normally potatoes should be boiled first but I cooked in a different way. Peel off all the potatoes and prick them with fork. And let them rest in salty water for sometime.
- 2
In the mean time, we can prepare the masalas for aloo k gutke. Put all the ingredients in mortar and pestle, this is the best way to make this masala. It should not be grind in mixer jar. But I have no options rather than using mixer grinder. I have used grinder very carefully so that masalas don't get warm so much.
- 3
Heat the kadai or pan, add mustard oil. Now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and kashmiri red chilli. Add chopped coriander stems and 1/4 tsp of chopped ginger. When it splattered add potatoes and cook it well. Cover it.
- 4
Now add the masalas to the potatoes 🥔 add 1/2 cup water. Cover it again. After 10 minutes remove the lid. Aloo k gutke is ready to serve with poori, paratha etc. Isn't it very quick and easy recipe. Hope you find it interesting. Enjoy 😊🌻
