A classic combination that is also one of the foundations of Spanish cuisine.
Cooking Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pot, add the garlic and bread slices to toast. Once the bread is toasted, remove it to a plate.

Add a little more oil if needed, and when hot, add the finely chopped onion and bell pepper. Let them brown. Once browned, add the peeled and chopped tomatoes and sauté for a few minutes.

Add the choricero pepper paste, tomato paste, paprika, turmeric, white wine, and salt. Mix well, cover the pot, and let it cook for a few minutes.

Stir the sautéed mixture, add a little stock, and blend with the toasted bread from the beginning of the preparation.

Add the rest of the stock, chickpeas, and well-washed spinach.

Let it come back to a boil and the spinach reduce in volume, then add the cod.

Add a couple of bay leaves and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.

Serve with hard-boiled eggs to taste.
