I combined Tuvar Dal from Vitamin B and Palak or Spinach from Vitamin K and combined the Palak Dal together. Both are so essential for good health. Goes best with steamed rice
Steps

Wash Tuvar Dal and add to pressure cooker with 2 cups water and salt, pressure cook for 5 whistles, switch off the flame and depressurise, remove the lid then, set aside

Wash the spinach and chop fine, chop tomato and onion fine. In a pan heat oil, add bay leaf, add cumin seeds, minced garlic, hing or asafoetida, split green chiliies and stir for 1 min.

Add chopped onions and stir well, add chopped tomatoes and stir well. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and stir well

Add chopped Palak or spinach and cook till spinach is wilted.

Add cooked dal and salt and stir well. Reduce to your desired consistency

Drizzle ghee and set aside to plate. Serve with steamed rice
