Ingredients

16 minutes
8 - 10 patties
  1. 2 cupsgreen moong (1/2 cup raw)
  2. 1/2 cuprice flour or as needed
  3. 1medium sized onion chopped
  4. 1carrot grated
  5. 1 inchginger
  6. 2green chilies
  7. 1/3 Tspcrushed carom/ ajwain seeds
  8. 1 Tsproasted cumin powder
  9. 1 TspSalt / to taste
  10. 1/2 cupvegetable oil

Cooking Instructions

    In a mixer jar, take 2 cups of soaked moong, along with fresh chopped ginger,
    green chillies, chopped onion, mint leaves, roasted cumin and dry chilli powder, salt as per taste. Grind to a thick paste.

    Transfer the batter in a mixing bowl and add rice flour as needed to bind. Mix everything well. Allow to rest 10 minutes or refrigerate until you are ready to make patties.

    Take a small portion and flat into patties.
    Heat a pan at medium heat. Add oil for shallow fry. Place the patties to roast for 2-3 minutes. Flip and roast the other side. Let the patties nicely cook from both the sides. Enjoy delicious moong patties with tomato sauce/ketchup.
