This is a traditional Maharashtrian dish, generally prepared for breakfast .
Traditionally it is prepared using wheat flour ,I have replaced it by jowar flour and really it's taste has enhanced and it's more healthier version. One dish of this breakfast makes you full and you feel very energetic and light.

First of all in a heavy bottom pan, dry roast jowar flour on low flame till it is aromatic.It takes 5 minutes to roast it properly. Now transfer it to a plate and let it cool.

Now in boil double quantity water.
In the meantime heat a pan / kadai,put oil,then add mustard, cummin seeds to it,once crakled add asafoetida. Then add peanuts,green chillies and onion and saute it. - 4
Now take the roasted and cooled jowar flour and add water slowly to it to make a smooth paste,this step helps to avoid lump formation in the jowar flour and your Ukadpendi turns out very smooth.

Now add this paste of jowar flour to the kadai,in which we have prepared tadka and saute and mix with other ingredients. In this dish for variation and increasing it's nutritional value you can add the veggies available like carrot,tomato,cabbage,capsicum, beans, cauliflower etc,as I am making it traditional way so not used.
Cook the jowar flour properly by covering it for 5 - 6 minutes. - 6

Dish is ready to serve,Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
