Stir-Fried Kailan/Bok Choy with Garlic Oyster Sauce

I was looking for a stir-fried kailan/bok choy recipe that tastes like it does at Chinese restaurants and always failed. Thank you so much to my bestie Tina for sharing a website with a recipe that’s spot on (motherbakeeasy.wordpress.com). It turns out it's easy and quick to make, the ingredients are cheap, and it tastes delicious... Every time I make this, it’s always finished :)

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Separate the kailan/bok choy from the stalk, cut off the bottom part, and wash thoroughly.
- 2
Boil briefly, but do not let it wilt too much. After boiling, remove and dip in cold water to keep the color fresh.
- 3
Heat oil for sautéing.
- 4
Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- 5
Add oyster sauce and a little water (about 3 tablespoons), then add salt, sugar, and pepper. Taste it; if it's too salty, add a few more tablespoons of water. If you don't want it too watery, add a little water and a little sugar.
- 6
Add the cornstarch mixture. Stir until it thickens.
- 7
Arrange the kailan/bok choy on a plate, pour the garlic oyster sauce over it, and sprinkle with fried shallots.
- 8
Serve.

Stir Fried Pork, Shimeji Mushrooms and King Oyster Mushrooms with Oyster Sauce Stir Fried Pork, Shimeji Mushrooms and King Oyster Mushrooms with Oyster Sauce
This is a variation on my recipe Nagaimo Yam and Pork Stir Fry. Chopped pork tends to get tough if you stir fry it, so I treated it in a certain way to make it as tender as possible. Make it hearty with a boost of inexpensive mushrooms!Serve it to small children without the black pepper. If there are burned bits in the pan after taking out the meat (Step 4), wipe with a paper towel before proceeding. If you simmer it for too long at Step 6, the meat will get tough so be careful. For 2 servings. Recipe by Iku.. cookpad.japan -

Healthy Stir-fried Bean Sprouts with Oyster Sauce Healthy Stir-fried Bean Sprouts with Oyster Sauce
I wanted to make a healthy and crunchy bean sprout stir fry, and tried many things before getting to this method. Excess oil is thrown out as well, so this is healthy.Use ham or fish sausage instead of the chikuwa fish sticks, or just make a bean sprout stir fry.Adjust the seasonings to taste.
