Steps
- 1
Heat a pan. Add the ghee residue to it. Roast it for about 2-3 minutes on a low. Now add the gram flour. Roast them both for a few minutes on a low heat only.
- 2
Meanwhile keep the chopped nuts of your choice ready. After a nice aroma emanates in your kitchen, it's time to add in the milk powder, cardamom powder and the granulated sugar. Mix well and add the nuts too. Cook until the mix thickens and leaves the sides of the pan.
- 3
Alternatively milk can be added in place of milk powder. Take the mix out onto a plate or a tray. Allow it to come down to the room temperature and set properly. Cut into desired shapes and sizes.
- 4
Serve these lip-smacking kalakand squares to your loved ones and friends alike. Enjoy!
