Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat over medium heat until it comes to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent burning.

Once the milk boils, add the heavy cream and granulated sugar. Stir and heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.

After the sugar has dissolved, add the two eggs and mix well. Turn off the heat.

Once the filling is ready, pour it into the Portuguese egg tart shells. Bake in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 35 minutes. For a crispier texture, bake for an additional 5–10 minutes or increase the oven temperature as desired.
