Mango Trifle Pudding

Trifle Pudding is one of the most popular Christmas time dessert in UK and has started since Tudor times. The layers of various berries, the cream on top and maybe a chocolate one or other kinds are extremely popular. The sugar syrup is essential and many use Sherry or Honey Heather whiskey too in Scotland.

Steps

In a bowl cut the sponge cakes into thin slices and smear jam on it. Add sugar syrup

Make Rasberry jelly as per instructions on the package

Mango custard - in a bowl add egg yolks, castor sugar whisk well, add vanilla paste and whisk well, add milk and whisk. Add mango purée and stir

In a bowl add heavy cream and bring it to light boil, add a portion to the custard and mix and bring it back to boil, mix and set aside immediately

In the dessert bowl layer the sponge cake, layer the Rasberry jelly, layer the custard and freeze overnight
- 6
Whisk the heavy cream and pipe in, add mango slices on the side and enjoy 😊
