That means it is less likely to spike up sugar levels. Sour dough bread including buns have very little or no sugar at all . Also the fermentation process in sour dough bread may improve digestion & provide more prebiotic . So sour dough bread is a healthier choice & can be eaten everyday .

Ingredients

40 - 45 minutes
1 Serve
  1. 1sour dough bun (store bought)
  2. Butter to warm the buns
  3. For Patty : 👇
  4. 1 tspoil
  5. 1/4 tspcumin seeds
  6. 1/4 cupvegetables, finely chopped (French beans, carrots & potatoes)
  7. 1 tbspcorn kernels
  8. 1/4 tspginger, finely chopped
  9. 1spicy green chilli,finely chopped
  10. 1/2onion, finely chopped
  11. 1/4capsicum,finely chopped
  12. 1 tbspchopped coriander
  13. 1/4 tsp amchur
  14. 1/4 tspgaram masala
  15. 1 pinchchat masala
  16. 1/2 tspgreen chilli paste
  17. Salt to taste
  18. 1 slicebread (dipped in water & squeezed)
  19. Oil to cook the patty
  20. Other ingredients : 👇
  21. 1iceberg lettuce leaf / cabbage leaf (I used cabbage leaf)
  22. Salad : onion, tomato
  23. Wafers / potato fries (I served wafers)
  24. Tomato ketchup + Chipotle Mayo --- to apply on the buns & serve
  25. Sprite or any cold drink / juice

Steps

40 - 45 minutes
  1. 1

    Take sour dough bun on a plate. Cut it horizontally into 2.

    Take butter in a pan. When butter melts warm up the buns on it from both the sides. Do not make them crisp. Remove & keep aside.

    For the vegetable patty : Boil the veggies along with corn. Boil the potatoes also.Cool & drain the water from the veggies & corn. Peel the potatoes.

    Take oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and when they splutter add onions, capsicum, green chillies & ginger. Saute till soft.

    Add the boiled vegetables, corn & potatoes.Cook till everything mix very well.

    Add garam masala, chat masala, amchur, salt & mix very well. Add a squeezed bread slice.Mash everything with a potato masher. Make big size patty with the mixture.

    Heat oil in a non-stick pan, slowly put the patty on it & shallow fry on both the sides till golden.

    How to assemble the Burger : Take both the halves of the buns on a plate.Apply Chipotle Mayo generously on both of the top of the halves. Keep a cabbage leaf on one of the lower half of the bun.

    Put patty, Salad, a pinch salt & cheese slice on it. Cover with the other half of the bun & insert a toothpick in it.

    Serve the burger, chips, salad & tomato ketchup & chipotle mayo in a plate. Either serve Sprite, or any cold drink or a glass of fresh juice with it. Your Gourmet Style Sour Dough Burger Bun is ready to be devoured by you.
