Steps

Take a pan, add onion, kaju, badam, melon seeds, garlic cloves, grated ginger & green chilli, top up with water, boil it till a lil dry, cool it, grind it to a fine paste, keep aside. This is the gravy masala.

Dice paneer, soak in hot water for 1/2 hr, strain it, keep aside. You can add very lil salt as per your choice.

Take a wok, add oil, heat it. In goes tejpatta, laung, choti elaichi, bari elaichi & dalchini, saute it for 20 sec, remove them from the oil. Add in jeera, let it splutter.

Now add gravy masala, sprinkle lil water, mix it well, cook it until oil has oozed out.

In goes salt, sugar, dhania powder, black pepper powder & garam masala powder, mix it well, stir fry it until oil has surfaced.

Mix fresh cream with dahi, add in the masala. Mix it well. Cook it covered on low flame until oil has oozed out, add butter in between. Open the lid, add kewra & rose water, mix it well.

In goes 1 cup hot water, mix it well, give a boil, cook it for a minute. Add in paneer pcs, mix it gently, give a boil. Lower the flame, cover it with the lid, cook it until gravy turns a lil saucy.

Turn off the flame, open the lid after 10 minutes.Take out in a serving bowl, garnish it with a dhania sprig...
