Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cupwhole white urad
  2. 1/2 cupgrated coconut
  3. 3 tablespoonsugar
  4. 1 teaspooncardamom powder
  5. 4 cupswater

Cooking Instructions

    Take the whole white urad into a bowl,wash it with plain water, soak it for one hour

    Add the soaked urad into the grinder, add little water and grind it into the soft dough. Pour the urad dough into a big vessel,add four cups of water,cook it in medium flame.

    Add sugar cardamom powder and grated coconut mix well.Cook it till the raw smell goes out. The porridge becomes pouring consistency,turn off the flame. Porridge is ready. If you want you can add milk also.

    Mix it well. Transfer to a serving bowl. Enjoy the healthy, tasty urad coconut porridge.
