Ingredients

15 -20 Minutes
4 servings
  1. 1 cupBroken wheat
  2. 1/2 cupGrated Coconut
  3. 1/2-1 cupmedium thick coconut milk
  4. as requiredWater
  5. as requiredSalt
  6. 1/2 teaspoonGhee (optional)
  7. 7-8Pearl onions, thinly sliced (optional)

Steps

15 -20 Minutes
  1. 1

    Rinse the Broken wheat well.

  2. 2

    Pressure cook the broken wheat for 2 - 3 whistle by adding little salt and enough water.

  3. 3

    When the pressure is fully released, add grated coconut and coconut milk.Mix well.

  4. 4

    This is purely an optional step. Heat ghee in a pan. Add sliced pearl onions and fry till light golden brown. Once done add them to the broken wheat.

  5. 5

    Serve hot with pickle and papad.
