Moong dal Halwa

Take the cooked leftover moong dal, add to the mixer jar,grind it into a fine paste.

Keep a deep nonstick sauce pan on medium heat, add ghee and cashewnuts, fry till golden brown. Transfer to a small bowl.Keep it aside.

Take a small bowl,add one table spoon of water and two drops of orange food colour. Mix well and keep ready.

Keep the same sauce pan, add two tablespoons of ghee and two tablespoons of wheat flour, saute for a few minutes, nice smell appears add the moong dal paste.

Add half a cup of milk,mix well.Then add ghee and sugar.

Mix nicely, then add food colour, mix well.

Now add cardamom powder and give a nice mix. Cook for five minutes, mix it continuously.

Once halwa started learning the edges and ghee comes out, add the fried cashewnuts, moong dal halwa is ready. Transfer to a serving bowl.

Enjoy the leftover moong dal becomes a super tasty moon dal halwa.
