Ingredients

Serves 2 servings
  1. For the livers:
  2. 1.1 poundschicken livers (about 500 grams)
  3. 1onion, grated
  4. Salt 🧂
  5. 1 teaspoonblack pepper
  6. 1 teaspoonmixed spices
  7. 1 teaspoongarlic powder
  8. 1 teaspoonground coriander
  9. Water 💦
  10. For the rice:
  11. 1 1/2 cupsbasmati rice (about 285 grams)
  12. 2 teaspoonsturmeric
  13. Oil
  14. 2 1/4 cupswater (about 530 ml)
  15. Salt
  16. For the sauce:
  17. 6 tablespoonsmayonnaise
  18. 6-8garlic cloves, crushed
  19. Water 💧, add gradually
  20. 2 pieces toasted pita bread

    Sauté the grated onion in oil until it softens.

  2. 2

    Add the chicken livers and spices, and stir well until the color changes.

  3. 3

    Add water and let it cook for 35 to 40 minutes.

  4. 4

    For the rice, add it to oil and water with turmeric and salt, and cook as usual.

  5. 5

    In a bowl, mix the garlic with mayonnaise, stirring while gradually adding water until you reach the desired consistency.

  6. 6

    To serve, pour the sauce over the rice, then add the chicken livers, and garnish the dish with toasted pita bread.
