Firstly in a cooker add soaked Toor dal and tomato.Add water 4 to 5 cups water,salt and turmeric powder.Close the lid Cook for 3 to 4 whistles

Cool down.Now take tomato and rasam powder grind it in the mixture.Take this mixture in the kadhai and dal cook till it starts bubbling.

Now add red chilli powder, tamarind pulp and jaggery.Check the consistency.

Now add tempering of ghee, mustard seeds, curry leaves and hing.Put on the boiling rasam.Garnish coriander leaves

Serve piping hot with rice.
