First in a grinding jar add hung curd and cornflour. Then blend them together without any lumps.

Then add full cream milk, condensed milk and blend them to make a smooth mixture. Blend until lumps disappear.

Naw take a flat vessel which is plain from the bottom and little high too. Add the mixture in the vessel and spread elaichi powder, grated nutmegs over it. Garnish with sliced almonds and saffron strands.

Preheat 2 cups of water in a pressure cooker until steam appears. Place a stand in a cooker and place the vessel of the mixture on it. Do not put the whistle over the pressure cooker. Now close the lid.

Cook the kharvas on the medium-high or medium flame for 30 minutes. Check it after the 30 minutes by inserting the knife in it. If the knife is clear then the kharvas is cooked. Let it come to the room temperature.

Once it cools down completely keep it in the refrigerator to set for an hour then cut it into pieces and separate from the corners. Serve it chilled.

NOTE : If you are using mawa or the sugar powder instead of the condensed milk then take half cup of mawa and half cup of the sugar powder. And if you are adding milk powder then take half cup of castor sugar and half cup of milk powder.
