Steps
- 1
In a plate combine ajwain. salt and oil. I am using oil for the dough so that the gujiya will be soft and crunchy. Knead smooth and semi stiff dough. Once it is done then keep aside or 1/2 an hrs. For stuffing take 1 cup grated dry coconut, sugar powder and lots of crushed dry nuts, Elaichi powder. Grind it coarsely. Don't grind roasted suji. From the dough take a small ball and roll it like a poori.
- 2
Apply oil in the mold. Then place the place the poori in the mold
- 3
Now place the stuffing in the center of the poori. Press it gently and remove the extra dough.
- 4
Now take out from the mold. It is ready to fry. Heat oil and ghee in a kadai. Shallow fry the gujiya till it is golden in colour.
- 5
Once it is done then transfer to a serving plate. Immediately serve.Crispy and crunchy Gujiya is ready to serve...
