Steps

Pomfret fish - wash the fish and make insertions on both sides of the fish, set aside

Marination - On a banana leaf add coriander powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, fennel powder, black pepper powder, turmeric powder, salt and oil, mix

Smear the fish with the spice mix well on both sides and set aside for 1 hr marinated

In a pan heat coconut oil, add the fish and fry well both sides for 2-4 mins, set aside

In the same pan add sliced onion and fry to soften. Add chopped tomato, curry leaves and cook to soften the tomatoes.

Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, fennel powder, black pepper powder, red chilli powder, salt and cook well.

Roast the banana leaf add the spice mix, add the fried fish on it and add more spice mix on the fish

Add sliced tomato, curry leaves and green chili and fold the banana leaf on all sides and tie with a string, in a pan heat coconut oil and fry

Fry on both sides

Open the leaf and enjoy
Tips
Fresh pomfret fish is needed
Banana leaf must be roasted
