Steps

Wash the shrimps, peel, devein and retain the head, wash ol and cut into cubes, wash potatoes, peel and cube. Marinate shrimps with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and salt, set aside for 5 mins

In a pan heat mustard oil, add the marinated shrimps and fry for 2 mins, set aside

In a heavy bottomed wok add water, boil and add yam cubes and potatoes cubes, boil for 3 mins

In a mortar & pestle add whole cumin seeds, coriander seeds, whole red chilli and with little water make a paste

In a pan heat mustard oil, add cumin seeds, whole red chilli and bay leaf, stir for 3 seconds, as boiled yam and potatoes and fry for 2-3 mins

Add the paste and mix well, add fried shrimps and mix well, add water and cook for 2-3 mins, set aside
- 7
Plate with steamed rice and enjoy 😊
Tips
Shrimps needs to be fried and yam needs to be boiled, then fried
