Quick pulao in pressure cooker (one pot recipe)

This quick pulao can be made anytime or everyday. It's easy to make and delicious to eat. Rice is roasted in ghee and some whole spices, then pressure cooked with carrots, peas, and ground spices. 1.) We'll make all the preparations in advance, as shown in the picture. Wash the basmati rice and soak it in water for 25 minutes.

2 )Turn on the gas and heat ghee/oil in a cooker. Add cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, and star anise and saute for a few seconds. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent. Then add vegetables and sauté.

3 ) Now add the drained rice to the pressure cooker. Add any spice powder from pulao masala, biryani masala, or garam masala. Add red chili powder and salt and stir gently.

4 ) Add 2 cups of water, close the lid, reduce the flame to low after 1 whistle, and turn off the gas after 5 minutes.

5 ) Open the lid only when the pressure cooker cools down.

6 ) Hot quick one pot pulao is ready.
Serve quick pulao with vegetables, chutney or raita.
