Wash and clean the karela well. In a pressure cooker, add 1/2 cup water along with the karela, salt, and turmeric powder. Cook for 2 whistles until soft.

Once the karela is boiled and soft, its bitterness also reduces a bit. Cut off both ends, mash it well, and remove the seeds if you prefer.

Add the mashed karela to the chopped onion. In a separate pan, heat mustard oil well. Add hing, cumin seeds, crushed garlic 🧄 green chilies, and chili flakes. Sauté well, then mix this tadka into the mashed karela.

Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
