This is typical Maharashtrian breakfast recipe. It's tasty and little spicy also. It is usually served with plain curd, thecha, homemade butter and sweet pickle.

This is typical Maharashtrian breakfast recipe. It's tasty and little spicy also. It is usually served with plain curd, thecha, homemade butter and sweet pickle.
Steps

To make thecha, add oil to a fry pan, then add cumin seeds, garlic cloves, green chilies, and peanuts. Fry for a minute and then grind.

Add all flours mix well, then add salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder, carom seeds, sesame seeds and mix well.

Add 1 tbsp of thecha, finely chopped onion, cooked methi leaves and mix again. Make a dough by adding water. It may require 1/2 cup water or little more. Keep in mind that onion will the dough softer so add water accordingly.

Cover the dough and keep it for 10 minutes.

Now take dough and make medium sized ball. Place the ball on butter paper and flatten it with palm using little oil.

Heat tawa on medium heat. Apply little oil and place flat bread thalipith. Roast it on both sides till golden colour,using oil. Make similarly all thalipith.

Serve thalipith with homemade butter, sweet pickle, thecha or curd.
Tips
Roast properly.
