Week 5 Theme: Mystery Basket
Flavor of the past: Dad’s favorite breakfast and his unwavering praise. The simplest breakfast, and the best memories. Miss those mornings of making upma for Dad ♥️

Cooking the same breakfast for my dad every day taught me that love is consistency. ❤️🍲
The daily struggle (of not knowing any other recipe ) was real 🤷‍♂️🍳

Morkali Upma (or Mor Kali) is named after its two primary components: "Mor" (buttermilk) and "Kali" (a thick lump,porridge-like dish)

Mor Kali upma is a traditional South Indian delicacy with a rich history and a unique blend of flavors. This dish is crafted from a simple combination of buttermilk and rice flour, yet its taste and texture have made it a cherished favorite among those who have experienced its delight. Mor Kali can be enjoyed as a quick and satisfying breakfast or a delectable evening snack.

@15Padmini This is so heartfelt and nostalgic ❤️ Morkali Upma truly feels like comfort food with a story—simple ingredients, yet filled with so much love and memories. That connection of cooking the same dish every day and the joy it brought is just beautiful. Dishes like these are not just recipes, they’re emotions on a plate. 💛
