Tangy Mango Pickle

This is one of the oldest recipe in my house.Everyone love to eat the fresh mango pickle as soon as summer comes .My mother in law prepare very large variety of pickles .Every year we get to eat them .But I thought why can't I learn from her how to make this incredible pickle .My son likes this sweet mango pickle .I tried to make this in suggestions of my mother in law and hope you all like it.

Clean mangoes and allow it to dry.Chop the mangoes with the seed in the centre so that, we can remove the seed and chop into small pieces with the hard seed cover.

Take a large mixing bowl.Add mustard seeds powder,chilli powder,tumeric,salt and fenugreek seeds and mix well

Then put little mango pieces and mix and cover them nicely with masala and put in big air tight container. Repeat this process with all the mango pieces.

Then pour the oil above the mango pickle.Add grated jaggery and cover the jar with lid.Some people do not add jaggery.

After a day mix it well with dry spoon and then keep it for 2 more days.

Once the mangoes get soaked well in the masala we can start eating.

Serve with hot plain rice and ghee.Enjoy the taste of mango pickle
