Mutton goes very well with various dals like Moong both green and yellow, Masoor Dal and Chana Dal. I made for lunch Mutton cooked in Green Moong Dal and it’s yummilicious !
Steps

Wash the mutton well, wash soaked Green Moong Dal and set aside.

On a plate keep the whole spices

Slice the onions

In a pressure cooker heat oil, add sliced onions and on medium flame cook to brown it, add whole spices and stir
- 5
Add ginger and garlic paste and stir until raw smell is gone, add mutton and stir well to coat all spices on the mutton

Add red chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well and continue stirring.

Add little water and add soaked and washed Green Moong Dal and stir

Add water and pressure cook on medium flame for 5 whistles, set aside

Tempering - in a pan heat mustard oil, add sliced onions and red chilli powder, stir and add that to the mutton

Add cream, stir, add chopped green chillies and chopped coriander leaves and stir

Plate with Tandoori Roti and enjoy
Tips
Soak the Green Moong Dal for 5 hrs atleast
