Moong Dal Chilla
Steps
- 1
Soak moong dal and chana dal in water overnight.
- 2
In the morning, rinse and drain the dals.
- 3
Blend dals with ginger and half the green chili to make a fine paste.
- 4
Add salt and mix well.
- 5
In a bowl, mix crumbled paneer, onion, coriander, and the remaining green chili for stuffing.
- 6
Heat a pan, add a little oil, and sprinkle water to clean the surface.
- 7
Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan, spread evenly, and cook for 1–2 minutes.
- 8
Spread some paneer stuffing over the chilla, fold, and cook until golden on both sides.
Tips
For a softer chilla, ensure the batter is not too thick. You can also add a pinch of turmeric or cumin to the batter for extra flavor.
