In Konkan region of Maharashtra coconut milk is used in various dishes. In mutton curry it is definitely used which gives very tasty,delicious flavour ,taste to our curry.

First of all keep big vessel on medium flame. Now add ghee and add khada masala like cardamom, cinnamon stick,bay leaves and star anise. Then add chopped onion and stir it up to onion becomes transparent. Now take mixer jar and add tomato, onion,ginger and garlic and prepare fine paste.

When onion becomes transparent add this paste. Simultaneously add garam masala, turmeric powder, kanda lasun masala and mix it well stir this masala for next 5 to 7 minutes.when oil released from masala add mutton.

Now add mutton in this masala and mix it well. Now add hot water for cooking mutton. Add salt to taste.Keep this curry on medium to low flame so that mutton cooked properly. At least 20-25 minutes required to cook mutton.cover it with plate.check mutton is cooked or not and then add coconut milk.after adding coconut milk stir it and mix it.again keep it 5-7 minutes.

At the end add chopped coriander leaves in it.serve this curry with chapati or rice.
Tips
When you cook mutton directly in curry it gives very nice taste.
If you want more curry then check taste and as per taste add salt.
