Victoria vada recipe is Calcuttas street food recipe.I made this for today's breakfast with very little oil.

Soak moong dal for four hours.

Drain excess water by strainer

Grind coarsely in mixer grinder without using water.Add chilli powder, coriander leaves,salt and asafoetida.Mix well by hands.

Place a wet handkerchief in a glass tightly.Take small size ball of flour and flatten vada in handkerchief.

Heat oil in a pan and add vada.Fry till light brown and puffed up.

Serve hot with any pickle or chutney. Very tasty and healthy too. Vada takes very little oil to fry.
