Fry the green gram daal slightly brown in colour.

Powder the daal

In a pan melt the jaggery with a little water. strain & add to the gram powder,grated coconut,& cardamom powder. Mix well and make small balls.

Add a pinch of turmeric powder to the rice paste.mix well.

In a frying pan heat oil for deep frying.Dip the green gram balls in the rice paste and deep fry in the hot oil till golden brown. Remove from oil.Delicious Munthiri kotthu is ready.
