Preheat the oven to 180 degree c.

Melt half cup butter in the pan and spread the brown sugar. Now place the pineapple rings.

To prepare the sponge sift together flour and baking powder. beat butter and sugar till fluffy. Add eggs one by one. fold in the flour mix and mix.

Pour the batter over the pineapple rings. Level the surface.

Bake at 180 degree c for 30 minutes or till done.

Allow to cool.Serve warm or cool.
