Green Capsicum Chutney (Bell pepper chutney)

I'm a big fan of different chutneys, especially the ones that use veggies. It's an easy way to incorporate vegetables in your diet. This one made with green capsicum is flavorful, easy to make and very simple.

I'm a big fan of different chutneys, especially the ones that use veggies. It's an easy way to incorporate vegetables in your diet. This one made with green capsicum is flavorful, easy to make and very simple.
Steps

Heat a pan. Add 2 tsp of oil

Fry the dals and the red chilli till the dals turn light brown

Add onions and saute till they become transparent
- 4
Add capsicum and saute till it becomes soft
- 5
Add tomatoes and fry for 2-3 minutes

Add salt and tamarind. Mix well and switch off. Let it cool completely

Grind to a smooth paste without adding any water

Heat a small pan. Add 1 tsp of oil. Add mustard and wait till it splutters

Add the seasoning to the chutney

Serve with idlis or dosas.
