Fall puff pastries

Sometimes I like to get a little creative while baking. Since puff pastries offer you many ways to use them, wether sweet or savory, and it's fall too, I decided to try something new, matching the vibe of this cozy season.
The filling of these pastries is made out of apples, pears and cinnamon, a combination which I personally love!

Steps
- 1
Cut the apple and the pear into little dices and put them into a pot. Then add the cinnamon and the sugar.
- 2
Cook everything on middle heat until the fruits are soft. Then take the pot of the stove.
- 3
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Now roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 8 equal squares.
- 4
Add about 2 tablespoons of filling onto each square, then fold the edges into the middle and press the pastry together so it sticks.
- 5
Crack the egg open and separate the yolk from the egg white, then put the egg yolk into a cup. Now use a food brush to spread it onto the pastries.
- 6
Put a parchment paper on a baking tray and put the pastries with a bit of space between them on it.
- 7
Bake the pastries for 10-15 minutes, until they're golden brown; you can serve them with a bit of powdered sugar if you want to.
- 8
Bon appétit!
Tips
- You can replace the cinnamon and the sugar with a spice mix, like I did.
- Also the amounts for sugar and cinnamon are just estimates, so I'd reccomend just trying out until you're satisfied.
- You don't necessarily have to use my folding technique, feel free to take inspiration from the internet/social media!
