Steps
- 1
Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan on low heat
- 2
Add sooji to the ghee and roast on low heat, until the sooji cooks completely, but it should not change the colour
- 3
Then add grated petha and mix well, cook for 2 minutes
- 4
Then add strawberry paste and mix well, cook for 2 more minutes
- 5
Now add milk and mix nicely, cook on low heat, stirring continuously, until the mixture becomes like a dough
- 6
Let the mixture becomes little cool
- 7
In a mixing bowl combine together chocolate paste and chopped dry nuts, mix well
- 8
Now from the strawberry dough make equal sized balls
- 9
Flatten each ball in your palm and place some chocolate mixture in the center
- 10
Seal it properly giving it the shape of a modak, I have not used mould here, just made them with hands only
- 11
Make outer lines of the modak with the help of a fork, by giving the impression slantly, pressing the fork slightly
- 12
In this way make all the modaks
- 13
Arrange them in a serving plate and garnish with chocolate sprinklers
- 14
Cut one modak from the center to see the chocolate filling
