Apple Pie Oatmeal

I tried this recipe from Christina (id in this cookpad). This is so tasty and healthy, I made changes in the fillings, and when I cooked this, the oatmeal came out a bit dry (maybe I made mistake in the way I cooked it), so I added some more milk in it, until I met the consistency that I wanted. But overall this oatmeal tasted so delicious, try it! 😁😁😁

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cupoatmeal
  2. 1 cupmilk (could be more)
  3. 1/2apple (cut into dice)
  4. 1/4 cupraisins (I used golden raisins and less than 1/4 cup)
  5. 1/4 cuppumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds (I used less than it)
  6. 7almonds (chopped)
  7. 1/2 tspground cinnamon
  8. 1/4 tspground nutmeg
  9. 1/4 tspsalt
  10. 1 pinchground cloves (optional)
  11. 1/2 tbshoney
  12. 1/2 tbsbrown sugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Boil in medium low heat all the ingredients (except honey), stir them all and add more liquid such as milk or water if needed to reach the consistency that you want.

  2. 2

    Simmer around 5 minutes (could be less or more) or until the apple a bit soften.

  3. 3

    Garnish with ground cinnamon and a lil bit drizzles of honey (if you use honey for glazing the top, make sure to reduce the brown sugar)
