Ingredients

  1. 500 gmschopped tomatoes, grind them into a paste
  2. 100 gmschopped aam papad
  3. 100 gmschopped khajoor
  4. 2-3chopped green chillies
  5. 2green chillies for garnishing
  6. 2 tbspmustard oil or any other oil
  7. 1 tsprai
  8. 1 tspjeera
  9. 1/2 tsp methidana
  10. 1/2 tspkalonji
  11. 1 tspsaunf
  12. 1/2 tspheeng
  13. 1 tspred chilly powder
  14. 1 tspdhania powder
  15. 1/4 tsphaldi
  16. to tastesalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan and put rai, jeera, methi dana, kalonji, saunf and heeng, let them splutter

    Then add chopped green chillies

    Now add tomato paste, mix well

    After cooking for 5 - 7 minutes, add red chilly powder, dhania powder and haldi

    When all the extra moisture of the tomatoes evaporates then add aam papad, khajoor and salt

    Cover and cook for 5 - 7 minutes on low heat

    The chutney is ready to serve

    Take it out in a serving bowl and garnish with geen and red chillies

    You can have this chutney with methi parantha, aloo parantha or any type of poori, even with dal chawal
