Steps

Sock the daal for 30 mins in the water

Boil it in a vassel or in pressure cooker

Keep the daal aside

For tempering put some oil in to a pan

Add some cumin seeds let the crackle

Add chopped onion saute this

Add tomoto and saute this as well

Add some curry leaves n salt, chilli n turmeric powder

Add this tempering into the boiled daal

Serve it with rice. Add some pickle along with if you want
