Ingredients

  • 1/4 cupVegetable Oil
  • 1 tspAjwain seeds
  • 1 tspCumin seeds
  • 1/2 tspMustard seeds
  • 4Whole hot red chillies
  • 1 TbspGinger, Garlic, Turmeric Paste
  • a fewCurry leaves
  • 1Medium onion, fine chopped
  • 2tomatoes, fine chopped
  • 1 tspGaram Masala
  • 1 cupYogurt
  • 1/2 CupBesan (Chickpea Flour)
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 3 cupsWater

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add cumin, ajwain and mustard seeds. Cook 2 mins.

  2. 2

    Add onions, tomatoes, curry leaves, ginger garlic turmeric paste and cook 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    In a bowl mix yogurt, besan and water. Use a whisk. Make sure there are no lumps. Add this to the pot. Add salt. Bring it to a boil and reduce heat to simmer. Cook to desired thickness. Don't let it boil over. Don't cover. You may leave a wooden spoon in the pot.
