Steps
- 1
For making Magdal you need to take a pan which has a heavy bottom because we do not want the mixture to be burnt at bottom.
- 2
Take 1 1/2 cup ghee in the pan and allow it to melted completely.
- 3
When it is in molten state, add the magdal mixture to it all at once. Start stirring and make sure it is well coated with the ghee from everywhere.
- 4
Keep stirring the mixture well, you would start feeling after some time that the mixture’se texture is bit light on weight now.
- 5
Magdal mixture starts becoming frothy and fluffy after continuous stirr. You would also observe that it has become lighter in color
- 6
Now, at this stage put the flame off and bring the magdal mixture to cool down at room temperature. It would take 1.5-2 hours to get it cooled down completely
- 7
When the magdal mixture is at room temperature, add sugar to it and mix with your hands.
- 8
8. Mix the magdal mixture and sugar very well so that no lumps are there.
- 9
When the magdal mixture is mixed properly. Shape it in the form of flattened laddos and keep aside to get settled for about 40-60 at a cool and dry place.
- 10
Now it’se all set to eat. It just requires some garnishing by dry fruits. Store them in air tight jars,,,,it will keep fulfiling your sweet’se craving for months
