I was looking for a simple tasty recipe for Sunday and decided to beef up this lovely bourguignon with some potatoes

Roll your cubed beef in flour

Heat oil in a large pot over a medium heat and brown the beef in batches then put this to one side

Fry your bacon and set aside with beef, add pepper to taste
- 4
Add the cubed potato, onion, leek and garlic. Cook until onion has softened
- 5
Return beef and bacon along with all other ingredients (except for parsley), bring to the boil, cover then lower the heat to simmer for one hour

Remove lid and simmer for a further 30 minutes to thicken the sauce
- 7
Garnish with a little chopped parsley and serve with boiled rice
- 8
Enjoy with friends and the rest of the wine
