Ingredients

serves humans
  1. 3 lbstewing beef
  2. 2 cupsquartered white/cremini mushrooms
  3. 2 cansmaple style beans
  4. 1 cupfrozen green beans
  5. 1 cupwhite flour
  6. 2 clovesminced garlic... or more
  7. 3 tbspWorcestershire sauce
  8. 1sweet potatoes diced
  9. 1russet potato diced
  10. 1onion sliced
  11. 2carrots sliced
  12. 2ribs celery sliced
  13. 2 tbspgrainy dijon mustard
  14. 2 tspmarjoram
  15. 1 tbspdried dill
  16. 1green apple, cored and minced (skin on)
  17. 1/2 cupcrown royal apple whiskey
  18. 3 cupsbeef stock
  19. 2bay leaves
  20. 1 tspdried rosemary
  21. 2 tbspmaple syrup
  22. to tasteSalt and pepper

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Mix beef and flour in a bag, shake to coat.

  2. 2

    Add all ingredients including excess flour from coating beef(except for green beans & maple syrup) to slow cooker. Cover and let cook on high for 4 hrs or low 6-8 hrs

  3. 3

    30 min before end, add green beans and maple syrup. Cover for half an hour. Serve with toasted pumpernickel or a grainy bread.
