Mix beef and flour in a bag, shake to coat.

Add all ingredients including excess flour from coating beef(except for green beans & maple syrup) to slow cooker. Cover and let cook on high for 4 hrs or low 6-8 hrs

30 min before end, add green beans and maple syrup. Cover for half an hour. Serve with toasted pumpernickel or a grainy bread.
