Semolina Bread Snack

#healthyjunior - You are looking at this yummy bread snack made with semolina and other ingredients. Apart from the coriander stems & leaves and other ingredients that I have used, you can also add any veggies of your choice to make them more healthy and wholesome. They can also be had for breakfast, snack or as a lunch box meal for the kids.

They can also be had for breakfast, snack or as a lunch box meal for the kids.

In a bowl, mix together all the above mentioned ingredients, starting from sooji to yoghurt, into a thick batter. Heat 1 tbsp. oil in a pan and temper with mustard seeds and asafoetida. After it stops spluttering, pour it over the prepared batter and mix well.

Spread a little of the batter on each slice of bread.

Heat a tawa / griddle and drizzle a tsp. of oil. Shallow fry the batter side first for a minute or till it turns light golden in colour.

Then flip it over and fry the other side too.

Transfer to a serving plate. Fry rest of the slices in the similar way. Cut them in half and serve them hot with green chutney or ketchup as an evening snack.
