I tried to make brownies with a lot less fat than usual, by taking out most of the butter, but they were just cake...then I tried adding a few nice lower fat goodies. This came out.

Ingredients

12 servings
  1. dry ingredients
  2. 3/4 cupall purpose flour
  3. 1/2 tspbaking powder
  4. 2/3 cupcocoa powder
  5. 1 pinchsea salt flakes
  6. 1/2 cupwhite sugar
  7. 1/2 cupsoft light brown sugar
  8. Wet ingredients
  9. 1 canCarnation evaporated milk
  10. 1 tbspvanilla extract
  11. 2eggs
  12. 2 tbspbutter, melted
  13. Extras
  14. 2 cupmarshmallows (I used Haribo Chamallows)
  15. 1 canCarnation caramel

Cooking Instructions

    In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.

    In another bowl or large jug, whisk together the evaporated milk, butter, eggs and vanilla.

  3. 3

    Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, begin mixing with a large metal spoon, then add the mallows and caramel and just fold through a couple of times.

    Pour into a 9 by 9 inch buttered cake pan.

  5. 5

    Bake at 180 C for 40-45 minutes. It should be set (no longer liquidy, but not completely solid)

    Allow to cool completely in the pan, before cutting it with a sharp serrated knife.
