Sweet Hambone Soup

When I make a soup, I am one of those toss it in kind of people. So, this recipe is a very close approximation of ingredients. A little more broth may be needed or a bit more of this or that. It's really all up to you and how thick or thin you want your soup or how many veggies you like! The hambone from your holiday ham can be saved and frozen until your ready to make your soup! Also, save some of the ham and add it to the soup! You can also get a hambone from your butcher or even a Honey Baked Ham store.

*Delicious*Basic Sweet Potato Soup* *Delicious*Basic Sweet Potato Soup*
My mother taught me this standard home cooked recipe.Step 1: *If using a thinner sweet potato, chop into chunks.Step 2: *Sweet potatoes cook quickly, so add them about 5 minutes after everything else.Step 4: *You could also finely chop the Japanese leek and add it into the soup at the end. This also tastes good without meat. You can add or remove the vegetables to suit your taste. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221 cookpad.japan -

This can be made in an crockpot, instant pot, or stove top. I made this in a pressure cooker, so easy and oh so good. ( so much easier than making stuffed peppers what I don’t think my kids would even eat, but they sure did eat this and liked it, iam surprise I had none left.) 🌈NinjaMommaKitchen🌈 -

[Farmhouse Recipe] Anko for a Rustic Sweet Adzuki Bean Soup [Farmhouse Recipe] Anko for a Rustic Sweet Adzuki Bean Soup
I made a stock of anko, so on occasion, I use it to make oshiruko (sweet red bean soup), ohagi, or other kinds of treats. The total simmering time for the adzuki beans to become tender varies greatly depending on how fresh they are, so check the pot from time to time. They should be simmered until they can be easily crushed between your fingers, and are plump and cooked through. While the beans are simmering, don't stir them up too much. A Quick Soup With A Whole Sweet Onion A Quick Soup With A Whole Sweet Onion
I thought it would be cute to have whole onions in soup.Shallow scores in an X-form helps the onions absorb the flavor, and makes them easier to eat.I didn't add much seasoning, like salt and pepper, since I wanted to enjoy the flavor of the onions. But if it's too light, adjust the seasonings. Recipe by Himeichigo cookpad.japan
