Place in a bowl and add the sugar, tapioca, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.

Let sit for 10 minutes and then spoon into the pie shell.

Dot with butter.

Cover with second pie crust and crimp edges to seal.

Cut small slits in the top crust to vent.

Bake for 10 minutes.

Lower the heat to 350°F and continue baking for 30 minutes or until the crust is light brown and the apples are bubbly.
