Peppercorn Sauce For Steak
A great classic steak sauce
Steps

Put the peppercorns and garlic into a pestle and mirror and grind together

Finely chop the onion and add it to a saucepan with the butter and olive oil, heat till the butter is melted and the onion softened then add the pepper and garlic and simmer for 2 minutes stirring continuously so it dosnt burn

Add the flour stirring continuously to make a roué, then gradually add the milk stirring all the time
- 4
Simmer for approx 4-5 minutes stirring so as not to burn or curdle the sauce untill the sauce thickens up

Finally season with the salt, stir and serve over steak
