Ingredients

  1. 6nice plump roma tomatoes
  2. 1/2 cupmarsala cooking wine or 1/3 cup of red wine that's not too sweet
  3. 4 cloveof fresh garlic minced
  4. 1 tbspolive oil
  5. 1/3 cupsmall diced onion, try yellow or sweet onion
  6. 1 tspItalian seasoning
  7. 1/2 tsppepper
  8. 1/2 tspgarlic salt/salt or to taste
  9. 1/4 tspsugar

Cooking Instructions

    Cut tomatoes into 8ths then place in blender with the wine and puree till nice and crushed

    In a saucepan saute the onion with the olive oil on low-med. heat for a few minutes.

    Add the tomato puree and garlic. Simmer for 5 min

  4. 4

    Reduce to low heat, add seasonings and simmer for 10-15 min or until thickened

  5. 5

    Enjoy! It's super delicious over your favorite pasta or chicken. Great for chicken parmesana!
