Mandarin Pork With Broccoli

Coming out of the cold months but with still a chill in the air, this is our transition dinner. Still comforting and filling but given the freshness of the mandarins and broccoli, a perfect blend of flavors to bring in the changing days. I hope you will enjoy!
Mandarin Pork With Broccoli
Coming out of the cold months but with still a chill in the air, this is our transition dinner. Still comforting and filling but given the freshness of the mandarins and broccoli, a perfect blend of flavors to bring in the changing days. I hope you will enjoy!
Steps
- 1
In a large pan, add oil and heat over medium heat.
- 2
Sprinkle pinch of salt over pork cubes before cooking.
- 3
Add in cubed pork and cook until browned on all sides. Do not overcrowd pan. Meat needs room to Saute properly or it won't brown properly and boil instead. You may need to cook two or three batches depending on pan size.
- 4
Once meat is browned, add in broccoli and saute for two minutes.
- 5
While that is cooking, mix all the sauce ingredients together and add to the pan.
- 6
Turn heat to just below medium, stir well and cover for ten minutes. Add in orange segments, stir well and cover again. Cook an addition five minutes.
- 7
Serve over prepared rice and sprinkle some sesame seeds over each portion.
